This is an online, self-paced course designed as a professional development resource for Christian teachers, Bible teachers, or those in ministry seeking to strengthen their background knowledge of the foundations of apologetics. Participants earn 3 graduate-level professional development units from Fresno Pacific University.

Resource Description

Discover the main approaches used to explain and defend the Christian faith. Evidences supporting the veracity of Christian claims are examined from science, history, archaeology and philosophy. Along with traditional apologetic approaches, approaches adapted to issues expressed in the 21st Century are examined. Be prepared through a series of assignments to effectively address issues people commonly ask, or to teach a unit of study on the subject. The course content aligns with Common Core Standards for History / Social Studies.

NOTE: Required textbook must be purchased separately.
This course will take 3 weeks to 1 year, depending on the pace of the student.
