Almost a quarter of the world’s population would identify themselves as being Muslim. Lack of clear understanding of Muslim beliefs and core ideas, makes it challenging for those communicating with them cross-culturally. This course will look at distinctive Muslim beliefs and practices in Southeast Asia, and suggest some ways to engage respectfully with the Asian followers of Islam.
